Blue Citrus Hearts is a digital film production from the Memphis Digital Arts Cooperative and Sawed-Off Collaboratory. It is an independent film in almost an absolute sense, in that the majority of the production budget has come independently from the pockets of Morgan Jon Fox, director, writer, and cinematographer. Morgan earns this money buy working at a coffee shop in the midtown area of Memphis. ( thank you who have donated your money and time to us to help with this film/life. we love yous) Morgan, along with Joshua Laurenzi and Caledonia Allen made a digital film called Three Minutes Based upon the Revolution of the Sun. It is a movie about themselves, but it is not necessarily a selfish movie. If you perhaps want to see this movie you can email us at josh@mediaco-op.org or morgan@mediaco-op.org

Blue Citrus Hearts has been in production since June of 2002. Much of the cast is made of "non-actors" aka real people. Most of the "acting" in the film is improvisational, based upon a loose guideline of emotional expressions and physical actions presented to the actors in order to help them communicate where to take the scenes. The actors and other crew members take part in such steering of scenes as they see fit. Every one helps with numerous aspects of the creation of the film. It is a collaborative effort. (many of the cast has had to do sound during this production, just as an example of our humbleness) We are seeking help with funding for the distribution/film festival submission of this film. If you are interested helping us with this venture you can email us at morgan@mediaco-op.org

Blue Ctirus Hearts is shot primarily on a Canon GL-1 and edited on an Apple G4 with Final Cut Pro
