About Cooperative Filmmaking

In 2002 , four individuals, interested in film, who believed in co-operative visions, wanted to share their self-taught knowledge and help support and build a local film community. The First Congregational Church, in the Cooper-Young neighborhood, graciously offered to aid in this vision. The church granted the MeDiA Co-op space in the basement, which houses a small theater, complete with a digital video projector, and enough room for office and editing space. And the rest is history, literally.

Individuals have come and gone from the desks at the co-op over the years, but their spirit, hard work and determination still reign. Below you can read about those who either make, or have made, the Co-op possible:
